The TURAS project wanted to improve community resilience by putting local history on a map and timeline – events which may not be recorded in the history books, but are very important to a local community. The original prototype needed some work, including improving the look and feel and the editing facilities.

Pixelshrink provides custom web development services for sustainability projects. We have in-house online mapping and GIS experience, so we were an ideal fit for the project. In collaboration with the project team, we took an existing prototype and refreshed the design, adding a lot of new features, and then rebranded the site in collaboration with Green Meadows. We also host and monitor the website, ensuring it’s speedy and secure.
Meadows Timeline is an innovative mapping website which allows you to see what memories and historical events have taken place in the area over the years, both on the map and on a timeline. It originated in a University of Nottingham research project and is now run by local community climate action group Green Meadows.
