Images of Research – Touchscreen kiosk web design
The project brief
The University of Strathclyde runs the Images of Research competition every year, challenging researchers to create an image which explains their work in an engaging way.
This is ideal material for a digital touchscreen kiosks, to engage audiences all over the city with the research. However, the website that powers a touchscreen kiosk needs different considerations to a normal website, and we were asked to provide our touchscreen kiosk web design expertise.
Our solution
We developed a touchscreen kiosk application which showcases the images and the story behind them.
The application makes it easy to navigate between the dozens of images that are created by the competition each year, and view by year or subject category.
A pilot project with the University of Strathclyde to showcase the Images of Research image competition on digital touchscreen kiosks to be displayed around the city of Glasgow.
